World’s First Successful Trial of Quantum Tokens Created Using Quantum Technology

TOKYO, Nov 18, 2024 - (JCN Newswire via SeaPRwire.com) - NEC Corporation (NEC; TSE: 6701) today announced a successful trial of tokens(1) created using quantum technology (quantum tokens) in cooperation with Tokyo-based Mitsui & Co., Ltd. (Mitsui) and U.S.-based Quantinuum.Mitsui and Quantinuum, which is engaged in the global rollout of quantum computing, have been working to develop practical unforgeable quantum tokens based on properties of quantum physics that are patented by Quantinuum. Until now, the principle behind quantum tokens had been proven in theory, but this time, using a quantum key distribution (QKD)(2) system for quantum cryptography communications(3) provided by NEC and 10km of optical fiber cable, the world's first demonstration experiment has been conducted to issue and redeem quantum tokens in an environment assumed for commercial use, and it was confirmed that tokens can be issued and redeemed as theoretically predicted.Unlike the tokens used in conventional communications technology, quantum tokens cannot be forged and can be redeemed instantly. Thanks to these characteristics, it will be possible to use them for a variety of purposes, including data restoration and certification, primarily for financial sector applications, such as high-speed transactions and commodity trading. The quantum cryptographic communication technology used in the trial is expected to be used in future infrastructure development as a communication method that cannot be decrypted by quantum computers, and quantum tokens can be used on this infrastructure. Based on the results of this trial, NEC will continue to work towards the social implementation of quantum cryptography technology. The equipment provided by NEC was partially supported by "Research and Development for the Construction of a Global Quantum Cryptographic Communication Network (JPJ008957)" project, which is part of the results from Japan’s Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications’ (MIC) "R&D of ICT Priority Technology Project" (JPMI00316) and Japan’s Cabinet Office’s "Photonics and Quantum Technology for Society 5.0" project under the Cross-ministerial Strategic Innovation Promotion Program (SIP).(1) Token: A digital certificate indicating certain rights and values, such as digital assets, user information, and access rights.(2) Quantum key distribution (QKD) systems use quantum mechanics to share random secret keys between two communicating parties in order to guarantee secure communication, and then encrypt and decrypt information based on those keys. (Patented (as of November 18, 2024))(3 )Quantum cryptographic communication: Various companies are working to develop communications technologies that employ quantum properties to make eavesdropping physically impossible. A.M.AUTONOMY Showcases MAP-TORCH for 3D Construction Digitalization at KINTEX SeaPRwire

A.M.AUTONOMY Showcases MAP-TORCH for 3D Construction Digitalization at KINTEX

Seoul, Korea – November 18, 2024 – (SeaPRwire) – A.M.AUTONOMY will showcase its solution, ‘MAP-TORCH’, which digitizes construction sites into three dimensions, at the Smart Construction Expo held in November 2024 at KINTEX, South Korea. A key aspect of smart construction is the real-time 3D digitalization of construction sites. By rapidly digitalizing sites into 3D, it becomes possible to detect physical changes within the space. This data can also be integrated with BIM (Building Information Modeling) to analyze progress rates or estimate material quantities. Furthermore, construction sites can be recorded and monitored over time in 3D rather than relying on 2D images. A.M.AUTONOMY’s MAP-TORCH is a device capable of real-time 3D mapping for such construction sites. MAP-TORCH also includes an extended version, MAP-TORCH X, which integrates sensors for detecting hazardous gases and radiation. This solution, combined with MagoWorks for remote monitoring, provides enhanced functionality. Currently, MAP-TORCH X is undergoing usability tests in collaboration with the Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute. By integrating a radiation detector into MAP-TORCH, it enables the acquisition of 3D radiation distribution data in facilities such as nuclear power plants. In environments like nuclear facilities, where GPS signals are often disrupted and irregular location data is required, drones frequently face challenges in conducting surveys. However, MAP-TORCH can conduct surveys without relying on GPS, significantly aiding in accident prevention in the nuclear industry. MAP-TORCH X received considerable acclaim in 2023 from various nuclear-related organizations and researchers worldwide at the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). A.M.AUTONOMY is expanding its solutions from nuclear facilities to construction sites, aiming to prevent safety accidents caused by hazardous gases in confined spaces. Beat The Silent Disease of Osteoporosis with LAC, Before It’s Too Late!

SINGAPORE, Nov 18, 2024 - (ACN Newswire via SeaPRwire.com) - Despite Singapore’s abundant sunlight, Vitamin D deficiency remains a prevalent health issue, affecting millions of people. This deficiency significantly compromises bone health, leading to osteoporosis, a “silent disease” due to its subtle onset. Research indicates that bone health begins to decline at age 25, making it crucial to address this issue, especially as Singapore’s population continues to age. The urgency to combat this silent epidemic has never been greater. As sedentary lifestyles and poor dietary choices become increasingly common, the impact of osteoporosis is alarming: one in three women and one in five men over the age of 50 in Singapore are affected. Known as the “sunshine vitamin,” vitamin D plays a critical role in efficient calcium absorption, essential for maintaining bone density and preventing osteopenia and osteoporosis. Without adequate vitamin D, the body struggles to absorb calcium, increasing risk of fractures and leading to deteriorating bone health. In line with World Osteoporosis Day on 20 October, LAC (pronounced as L-A-C) is dedicated to raising awareness about the importance of bone health and empowering individuals to take preventive measures to optimise their bone density. By incorporating calcium-rich foods or supplements, ensuring adequate Vitamin D intake and regular physical activity, individuals can significantly reduce the risk of osteoporosis.LAC FullCal® combines calcium, magnesium and Vitamin D in a golden ratio, making it vital for maintaining strong bones, teeth and muscle function. This unique formula not only reduces the risk of osteoporosis but also improves calcium absorption, making it an excellent option for maintaining optimal bone health. With its all-in-one solution, individuals no longer need to rely on three separate supplements to achieve the same benefits, offering both enhanced convenience and cost savings.LAC Joint Protec®, formulated with a proprietary blend of ingredients such as Glucosamine, Chondroitin and Collagen, work together to alleviate joint stiffness and discomfort while enhancing mobility and flexibility.

美联社记者Will Weissert(佛罗里达州西棕榈滩)和Hanna Arhirova(基辅)对本报告做出了贡献。 ```
